Gone and back again!

It was kind of a whirl wind trip for everyone, but it was so nice to get to see everyone. We went to Washington to see Dad and Mom, and (of course without their knowing) coordinated a visit with the kids as well. We got to see Alex, Colton and met his girlfriend Wendy, Derek and Jennifer came up together as well. Alicia and Jadon stayed home and rested, and we fully support that as our Alicia and Derek are pregnant again!... but, we did miss them very much and hope to see them soon. Jennifer left Hank and Ryan at home cuz no one knew that where we were staying was a "pet friendly" Hotel... until we got there, AND... realized most of the residents were in town for the DOG SHOW ... and had their little and Big friends there with them. So ... Hank, you can bring Ryan next time!
The travel was tiring and it as I said was a quick trip... but, seeing the looks on Dad and Mom's faces when the kids arrived was so worth it! I know that it required some adjustments and some sacrifices but kids Thank you very much!!!
It was so good to see each of you and I can't tell you enough what it meant to Jane and I as well... Even the long trek to the ice cream parlor on the brisk night ... with no coffee LOL was fun for me.

I would like to correct myself... or should I say my error was pointed out to me! LOL...

Jane and Charlie are in NO WAY "boring"... nor do they live a "boring life"... So, I guess I don't either because having them in my life is no way boring either!

A some what less than boring Tom

We haven't blogged for... AGES!!!

That's quite true! We haven't!... I guess it's a relative thing. I noticed that both of my kids that Blog have made post recently stating "how boring a life they live"... and well, I THINK I know WHERE they get it from!
There has been absolutely NOTHING going on out here for us to write about... I work, I exercise (now that we are over our colds - Jane's was BIG... mine was short and not too bad) ... well we started again today. and I sleep. We do take time in there for sleep as well.
We are going to go home to see Dad and Mom again soon. But, until then? more of the same. I know that Spring is coming. There is the deck to build (it's quite a drop out the patio door right now). I need to put the attic stairs in the garage, frame and drywall the basement, a TON of yard work! And in my spare time find some free rock and build a wall, do some landscaping oh... and fix the truck before inspection in April.
Fortunately most of these things don't have to be done right away... except... for the truck!
I really don't know when I am going to have time to do the other things. Well, with Golf season here, and I still haven't got to shoot the new rifle! Not to mention our weekend day trips, taking pictures, antiquing and shopping together.
Yes we have PLENTY to do... but we live a pretty dull life in the doing!

I still need to convince Jane we need a friend for Charlie too! . . . So, what do you think?

Should we get another cat? (not to be eaten - we play with cats with flashlights and such!)

A Flemish Giant Rabbit? (play with cat! unless they don't get along... then...Hosenpheffer!!)

A Bloodhound? (also not to be eaten! - protector, take on walks, ride in truck, play with cat!)

or Maybe a Vietnamese Pot Bellied Pig? (play with cat also if they don't get along! . . ...Bacon!!!)...
